Founded in 1999 in France, Universal Hobbies is an absolute titan in the scale model industry. While they built a historic legacy in die-cast collector cars, they evolved to become the undisputed global market leader and gold standard for agricultural, tractor, and earthmoving machinery miniatures.

The production itself takes place in China. Universal Hobbies grew out of the former Jouef and Eagle's Race.

Throughout the 2000s and early 2010s, Universal Hobbies was a powerhouse in traditional car collecting. These series are now highly coveted on the secondary market:

The James Bond Car Collection: Universal Hobbies was the lead manufacturer behind this legendary, global newsagent partwork magazine series. They engineered dozens of highly detailed 1:43 die-cast Bond vehicles (such as the iconic Aston Martin DB5 and Lotus Esprit), each packaged inside a custom mini-diorama capturing a specific scene from the movies.
Classic European Road Cars: As a French manufacturer, they specialized in highly accurate, budget-friendly 1:43 zinc alloy models of vintage Renault, Citroën, Peugeot, and Rover models.
Eagle Collectibles (1:18): Under this premium sub-label, Universal Hobbies manufactured heavy, fully opening 1:18 scale metal models, highlighting iconic rally legends (like the widebody Renault 5 Turbo) and historic touring cars (like the Ford Capri).

Universal Hobbies stays completely true to traditional materials. The bulk of their structural bodies are molded from heavy, high-pressure die-cast zinc alloy metal.

Standard 1:32 tractors and historical 1:43 vehicles typically retail in the highly accessible bracket depending on the structural complexity of the implement or attachment.
