Camater (also tightly associated with Collector Models) is an elusive, ultra-niche model car producer highly revered by serious collectors for manufacturing exceptionally rare 1:43 scale replicas. Unlike mass-production companies, Camater caters strictly to the high-end boutique corner of the hobby.

The defining trait of Camater is its hyper-focus on ultra-luxury, historical British automotive icons. You will almost exclusively find their stamp on high-end classics, including Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Unlike brands that copy generic factory cars, Camater recreates specific chassis featuring custom work from historic coachbuilders like Hooper & Co.

Despite collectors occasionally labeling them alongside "die-cast" collections as a general industry term, Camater models are actually hand-built resin miniatures. This allows them to capture fine exterior brightwork, intricate grille meshes, and correct proportions. Because they operate in limited production runs, you will not find these in standard retail catalogs. Most of the company's output has completely transitioned to the secondary market.

Models are often housed in clear acrylic or perspex cases, enhancing their display value and protecting them—hallmarks of collectible presentation.
