The Abrex company is a Czech company that makes metal scale models of cars and motorcycles from Czechoslovakian and Czech production.

The company was founded in 1998 and in the following years was mainly active in the import of model cars of various brands into the Czech market, such as Ertl and Cararama.

In 2003, Abrex began developing its first two 1:43 models, the Škoda Octavia combi Tour and the Škoda Fabia combi. However, their relatively complicated development did not go as expected and the whole process had to be repeated from the beginning. The first model, the second generation Škoda Octavia, was launched in 2004 and followed by the combi version in the same year.

Initially produced only by Hongwell, the company gradually moved its factory to Divišov where in 2016 the Škoda Forman was produced, the first model to be manufactured entirely in the Czech Republic.

In 2015, the company opened a toy museum located in the Příseka Castle near Jihlava. It houses more than ten thousand objects made between 1910 and 1991 and a complete archive of Abrex models. Abrex is the only company shop in the museum.

Abrex produces detailed models of Laurin & Klement, Škoda, Praga, Jawa, Buggyra, Aprilia and Ogar, produced in scales of 1:18, 1:43 and 1:72 and sold in limited series. Abrex focuses on historical, classic, modern and also racing models, including concepts that were never produced. The company's goal is to map the entire production of the Škoda car plant in Mladá Boleslav since 1905.
