The team was founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1929, initially to race cars produced by Alfa Romeo. By 1947, Ferrari had begun building its own cars.

Scuderia Ferrari, currently racing under Scuderia Ferrari HP, is the racing division of luxury Italian auto manufacturer Ferrari and the racing team that competes in Formula One racing. The team is also known by the nickname "The Prancing Horse, in reference to their logo. It is the oldest surviving and most successful Formula One team, having competed in every world championship since 1950.

As a constructor in Formula One, Ferrari has a record 16 Constructors' Championships. Their most recent Constructors' Championship was won in 2008. The team also holds the record for the most Drivers' Championships with 15, won by nine different drivers including Alberto Ascari, Juan Manuel Fangio, Mike Hawthorn, Phil Hill, John Surtees, Niki Lauda, Jody Scheckter, Michael Schumacher, and Kimi Räikkönen. Räikkönen's title in 2007 is the most recent for the team. The 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix marked Ferrari's 1000th Grand Prix in Formula One.

158

The Ferrari 158 was a Formula One racing car made by Ferrari in 1964 as a successor to the V6-powered Ferrari 156 F1.

The 158 was equipped with a 1.5-litre V8 engine, with a bore and stroke of 67.0 mm × 52.8 mm.

It was the first Ferrari Formula One car to use a monocoque chassis. John Surtees drove the Ferrari 158 to win his only Formula One Drivers' World Championship, in 1964.

Ferrari won the 1964 Formula One World Championship by competing in the last two races in cars painted not in the traditional Rosso corsa but in white and blue.

These cars were entered by the factory-supported but unofficial NART team, rather than the Scuderia Ferrari factory team. This was done as a protest concerning arguments between Ferrari and the Automobile Club d'Italia regarding the homologation of a new mid-engined Ferrari race car.

Ferrari also built a flat-12 powered Formula One car using the same chassis as the 158, designated the Ferrari 1512 or Ferrari 512 F1. The Tipo 207 flat-12 engine was designed by Mauro Forghieri and displaced 1489 cc and developed 220 PS at 12.000 rpm compared to the 210 PS at 11.000 rpm of the 158's V8 engine.

The 1512, with its larger, more powerful engine, was designed to be competitive on the longest, fastest circuits of the Formula One season, such as Reims, Spa, and Monza. In this role it complemented the lighter, nimbler V8-powered 158 which was more competitive on small, twisty circuits. The 1512 made its racing debut at the 1964 US Grand Prix at Watkins Glen, and raced alongside the 158 during the remainder of 1964 and into 1965.

A total of three 1512 chassis were produced.

F 2007

The Ferrari F2007 is a Formula One motor racing car that was constructed by Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro to compete in the 2007 FIA Formula One World Championship. The F2007 was the fifty-third single-seater car which the team have built to use in Formula One. As part of new FIA rules for the 2008 season which included banning driver aids via the introduction of a standard ECU for all teams, the F2007 was the last Ferrari Formula One car to use traction control.

The car is best known for providing Kimi Räikkönen with his first World Championship title and the team with its first Constructor's title since Michael Schumacher helped them win the 2004 Formula One season. As of 2022, this is the last Ferrari F1 car to win the drivers' title.

The Ferrari Tipo 056-2007 2.4-litre  90 degree V8, naturally-aspirated engine produced around 750 bhp.
