2002

Mazzanti Automobili is an Italian company that produces handcrafted high-performance cars. It was founded in 2002 by Luca Mazzanti and Walter Faralli as Faralli & Mazzanti. It was renamed Mazzanti Automobili after the split of Mazzanti and Farelli in 2010.

Mazzanti Automobili was established in 2002 as Faralli & Mazzanti in Gello di Pontedera (PI) by Luca Mazzanti, specializing in the design and development of handcrafted automobiles, and Walter Faralli, specializing in the restoration of classic cars. The two partners set up a small automobile workshop, which was intended both to restore vehicles and to practice design skills. They developed exotic sports cars with their first endeavour called the F&M Antas which was manufactured entirely by hand.

The enterprise was split into separate units in 2010 namely "Mazzanti Automobili" and "Faralli Restauri" - when the two partners took independent approaches and decided to concentrate on their different inclinations.

The Faralli & Mazzanti Antas V8 was shown off at the Top Marques exhibit held in Monte Carlo from the 20th - 23 rd April 2006.

The Faralli & Mazzanti Antas V8 was influenced and inspired by past production processes and materials of luxury Italian cars from the 1930s to the 1960s. This golden era of Italian motoring produced some of the most collectable and revered designs to this day.
The prototype Faralli & Mazzanti Antas V8 is based on a steel tube frame with a had made aluminium body on top. The build process is very different to the mass produced vehicles of 21st century. Instead the Faralli & Mazzanti Antas V8 has been lovingly hand built by a team of automotive experts who have followed the hand drawn plans. Nothing was created on computer.
Powering the Faralli & Mazzanti Antas V8 is a carburetor equipped Maserati V8 providing old school grunt. Buyers of the Faralli & Mazzanti Antas V8 will each get a blue velvet case containing a silver plate bearing the identification numbers and a DVD and book documenting the build process of their very own car.

the evantra project

In 2011, Luca Mazzanti, after three years of work and with the support of the designer Zsolt Tarnok, presented the project Evantra, a mid-engine coupé to be produced in limited units. During 2012, Mazzanti created full-sized models and began construction of the first unit.

The Evantra was archived in the collection of the Museum of Tuscan Design (Mu.De.To). The Evantra was unveiled at the 2013 "Top Marques Monaco Show."

The company reorganised to produce five cars per year, and used the "Pontedera Circuit" as a research center. However, final tests of Evantras were made in Autodromo di Modena.

2013-2022

The name Evantra, as tradition of Mazzanti Automobili, derives from the Etruscan language and it combines the concepts of unity and eternity: historically, Evantra was a name given by the Etruscans to the goddess of immortality.

The body

The body is structurally a two-seater coupé. The same body is built in two different types of equipment: pro-body, which made entirely of carbon fiber and one-body, which is built from the same material with some parts built from hand-wrought aluminium.

The engine

The engine is a naturally aspirated, 7.0-liter aluminum Chevrolet LS7 V8 engine that produces 701 PS at 6600 rpm and a maximum torque of 848 N⋅m at 4500 rpm. But during prototyping and testing, Mazzanti engineers were able to extract a further 50 HP from the engine. For final production version, the engine produces 751 PS at 7500 rpm, and a maximum torque of 860 N⋅m at 5000 rpm. The engine has a compression ratio of 11: 1 and is equipped with dry-sump lubrication system, titanium valves and connecting rods.

Performance

The Evantra V8 is equipped with a 6-speed sequential gearbox and can reach a top speed exceeding 350 km/h  with acceleration from 0–100 km/h taking about 3.2 seconds. The aerodynamic development was realised with the support of partners with significant background in F1 and Le Mans. The car is equipped with stock high performance tires 255/30 R20 front and 325/25 R20 rear, mounted on specific 20" OZ Racing wheels, and controlled by a Brembo braking system with carbon-ceramic 380 mm discs and 6-piston calipers at the front and 360 mm discs and 4-piston calipers at the rear.

Interior

The interiors are built to order as per the customer specifications. The sporty central console, has an instrument panel equipped with a multimedia system and data acquisition trim. The engine start button is placed on the integrated bridge to the pavilion in the Mazzanti style as seen on the Antas. The car offers a choice of two driving modes, namely "Race" and "Road".

evantra 771

The Evantra 771 was unveiled at the 2016 Bologna Motor Show, as an evolution of the Evantra. The LS7 used in the base Evantra has been modified to produce an extra 20 hp and the newly revised engine now produces 771 PS  at 7700 RPM and 870 N⋅m)at 6890 RPM hence the nomenclature. It has a claimed top speed of 336 km/h, and a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of around 3 seconds.

evantra 781

The 781 is an evolution of the 771, replacing the 7.0L LS7 with the same engine found in the Pura, a 6.2L LT2. The engine produces 781 PS at 6400 RPM and 969 N⋅m at 4400 RPM. The suspension has been altered an the weight has also increased slightly from the 771, from 1300 kg to 1350 kg. The 781 retains everything from the 771 apart from the engine & suspension tweaks, and the interior retains its basic layout.

evantra millecavalli

The Evantra Millecavalli was unveiled at the 2013 Top Marques Show in Monaco. The 7.0L LS7 found in the 771 has been enlarged to 7.2L, and fitted with a pair of turbochargers, and now produces 1000 PS, hence the name, with Mille meaning thousand & cavalli meaning horses. Sending that 1,000 PS and 1,200 N⋅m (885 lb⋅ft) to the rear wheels is a bespoke 6-speed sequential, which gives the car a claimed 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 2.7 second, and an estimated top speed of 402 km/h.

millecavalli r

The R is a high performance variant of the Millecavalli. The LS7 has been further enlarged to 7.4 L, now producing 1121 PS at 6,500 RPM and 1210 N⋅m at 6500 RPM. All measurements of the car also remain the same, however the R has gone under further aerodynamic enhancement for track performance and has gained 80 kg, increasing the weight from 1300 kg to 1380 kg. The OEM tyres are also now Michelin instead of Pirelli.

evantra pura

The Evantra Pura was unveiled at the 2021 Florence Biennale art festival in Florence. It shares its engine with the 781, that being a supercharged 6.2L LT2 that produces 761 PS at 6300 RPM and 910 N⋅m at 4300 RPM. The manufacturer claims that the Pura can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of over 360 km/h. The Pura is considered the entry model within the Evantra series and has more emphasis on lightness and sheer driving pleasure.

So far, Mazzanti Automobili has produced about 15 cars, highly sought after by track lovers and collectors of unique pieces worldwide. The company targets a worldwide market for its products, especially in Europe, Asia, Saudi Arabia, and the United States.
