Named after the energy drink, the Red Bull company purchased the Jaguar F1 Racing constructor on the final day of the sale, 15 November 2004.

Red Bull Racing, currently competing as Oracle Red Bull Racing and also known simply as Red Bull or RBR, is a Formula One racing team, competing under an Austrian racing licence and based in the United Kingdom. It is one of two Formula One teams owned by conglomerate Red Bull GmbH, the other being RB Formula One Team. The Red Bull Racing team has been managed by Christian Horner since its formation in 2005.

Red Bull had Cosworth engines in 2005 and Ferrari engines in 2006. The team used engines supplied by Renault between 2007 and 2018 (from 2016 to 2018, the Renault engine was re-badged TAG Heuer following the breakdown in the relationship between Red Bull and Renault in 2015). During this partnership, they won four successive Drivers' and Constructors' Championship titles from 2010 to 2013, becoming the first Austrian team to win the title.

The Red Bull RB10 is a Formula One racing car designed by Adrian Newey for defending world champions Infiniti Red Bull Racing to compete in the 2014 Formula One season.

It was driven by reigning World Drivers' Champion Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo, who was promoted from junior team Scuderia Toro Rosso after Mark Webber announced his retirement from the sport at the end of the 2013 season.

The RB10 was designed to use Renault Sport's new 1.6-litre V6 turbocharged engine, the Renault Energy F1-2014.

The team—like fellow Renault-powered outfits Scuderia Toro Rosso and Caterham—were affected first by problems with the physical Renault Energy F1-2014 unit that prevented the individual components of the power unit from working together. Once these issues were resolved, problems with the software governing the turbo unit occured. Red Bull also suffered from problems arising from the tight packaging of the RB10 chassis, which caused temperatures within the car to climb so high that parts started to burn.

The RB10 took its first win of the 2014 season when Ricciardo won the seventh race of the season, in Canada. The win was also Ricciardo's first in Formula One, while Vettel was also able to record his second podium finish of the season.

At the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi, the Red Bulls were excluded from qualifying for having a front wing which was over the wing flex limits. As a result, the Red Bull cars were sent to the back of the grid.

The Red Bull RB13 is a Formula One racing car designed and constructed by Red Bull Racing to compete during the 2017 FIA Formula One World Championship. The car was driven by Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen. It made its competitive debut at the 2017 Australian Grand Prix.

It is the first British-based foreign F1 car to utilize ExxonMobil fuel and lubricants since 2013, regarded as such due to its constructor Red Bull Racing operating under an Austrian license while simultaneously operating a base in Milton Keynes, along with Toro Rosso STR12 based in Faenza. It is also the first Red Bull F1 car featured with a shark fin since the championship-winning RB6 in 2010.

The Renault engine R.E.17 (rebadged as TAG Heuer F1-2017) is a 1.6 L direct injection V6 turbocharged, limited to 15000 rpm in a mid-mounted and rear-wheel drive layout. It produces 900 bhp.

The pre-season testing proved that the car was a long way behind the two leaders, i.e. Ferrari and Mercedes in both pace and reliability. The team opted for a low drag design philosophy for 2017, similar to the Williams team.

The team achieved 3 victories and reaching 13 podium spots, gathering 368 points in the process, which positioned Red Bull in third place at the constructor's standings.

The Red Bull RB14 was a Formula One racing car designed and constructed by Red Bull Racing to compete during the 2018 FIA Formula One World Championship.

The car was driven by Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen, and made its competitive début at the 2018 Australian Grand Prix. Like its predecessors the RB12 and RB13, the RB14 used a Renault engine badged as a TAG Heuer.

The RB14 was the last car built by Red Bull Racing to use customer Renault engines as the team switched to Honda power in 2019.

Following difficult pre-season tests in 2016 and 2017 in which the team attended the first tests with older-model cars, Red Bull announced that they would launch the RB14 earlier in the year than they had with the RB12 and RB13. Where previous cars had been delayed to allow the team more time to develop the chassis in their factory, the team brought the launch of the RB14 forward to gather more on-track data.

Team principal Christian Horner justified the decision by revealing that analysis of the team's performances in 2016 and 2017 showed that while the chassis were competitive by the end of the season, the decision to delay their respective launches had resulted in an uncompetitive car at the start of the championship.

The RB14 made its public début in February. Daniel Ricciardo completed a shakedown of the car at the Silverstone Circuit one week before pre-season testing began.

Ricciardo and Verstappen competed in the United States Grand Prix wearing special cowboy-styled race suits as a special tribute to Austin and Texas.

The Red Bull Racing RB16 and RB16B are Formula One racing cars designed and constructed by Red Bull Racing to compete during the 2020 and 2021 Formula One World Championships, respectively.

They were powered by Honda's RA620H (2020) and RA621H (2021) power units, being the second and third Red Bull to use the Japanese manufacturer's engines.

The drivers for 2020 were Max Verstappen and Alexander Albon, both of whom were retained by the team for a fifth and second season respectively, with Sergio Pérez taking Albon's place for 2021. Albon became the team's test and reserve driver for the 2021 season.

The RB16 was planned to make its competitive debut at the 2020 Australian Grand Prix, but this was delayed when the race was cancelled and the next three events in Bahrain, Vietnam and China were postponed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The RB16 made its debut at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix, while the RB16B made its debut at the 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix.

The pandemic prompted the delay of technical regulations that had been planned for introduction in 2021. Under an agreement between teams and the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, 2020-specification cars—including the RB16—saw their lifespan extended to compete in 2021, with Red Bull producing an updated chassis called the RB16B, which used Honda's upgraded RA621H power unit.

At the 2021 Turkish Grand Prix, the livery of the RB16B and drivers' overalls were red and white, inspired by the livery with which Honda won their first Formula One race, the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix. The colouring was originally to be used at Honda's home race, the Japanese Grand Prix, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
