The Nio EP9 is a battery-powered, two-seat sports car manufactured by RML group on behalf of Chinese electric car company Nio, not assisted by their Formula E racing division. The name EP9 stands for Electric Performance 9.

However, it is not a road-legal vehicle for roads, and none of the 16-production model EP9s were ever registered for road use. The EP9 is purely designed for track use only and does not comply with the laws and regulations to be registered in China. None of the 16-production model EP9s were ever exported and registered for road use outside China so far.

Each of the EP9's wheels has its own motor and transmission. Each motor has 335 hp, giving the car a total power output of 1341 hp. The EP9 is both all-wheel drive, and individual-wheel drive. The car has an advanced torque vectoring system that can adjust the power output to each wheel.

The EP9's battery can last up to 427 km before it needs to be charged. Recharging takes 45 minutes, and battery replacement takes 8 minutes as the batteries need to be removed when recharged.

The car is equipped with an active suspension, including a ride height controller that makes 200 calculations per second.

The car's brakes are developed and constructed by U.K manufacture Alcon.

The car's chassis construction is all carbon fibre, and is based on the FIA Le Mans Prototype regulations. The exterior is also made of the same material.

The vehicle's batteries weigh 635 kg. All of the carbon fibre in the car, in total, weighs 364 kg. The total weight of the car is 1735 kg.

The EP9 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, 200 km/h in 7.1 seconds, and 300 km/h in 15.9 seconds, as demonstrated by Richard Hammond in The Grand Tour. The car can achieve a top speed of 313 km/h.

es8 founders edition 2018-2023

The Nio ES8 is a battery electric, 6 or 7-seat full-size luxury SUV manufactured by Chinese electric car company Nio. The ES8 was put into production in June 2018 for the Chinese market and on 30 September 2021 it was launched in Norway. The ES8 serves as the flagship full-size SUV.

The name ES8 is derived from E means “Electric”, S means “SUV”, the ES8 is an SUV and 8 refers to its model range in Nio's Performance product range i.e., 1–9, “9” being the top of the range.

The ES8 is powered by a 70 kWh or 84 kWh lithium-ion battery pack (Upgraded to 100 kWh in 2019), that is also swappable. It uses a combination of 218 PS permanent magnet and 326 PS induction magnet motors. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and a NEDC extended range of up to 580 km.

The second generation Nio ES8 was unveiled during the Nio Day in December 2022 riding on the NT2.0 platform.

The Nio ET5 is a battery-powered compact executive sedan produced by Chinese electric car company Nio.

It was unveiled in China on 18 December 2021 at the 'Nio Day' event in Suzhou's Olympic Sports Centre. It acts as a direct competitor to Tesla's Model 3 sedan and the Xpeng P7.

The Nio ET5 comes available with three battery options: a 75 kWh battery with 445 km range, a 100 kWh battery with 580 km range, and finally a 150 kWh Ultra High Range semi solid-state battery with more then 800km range.

The ET5 has two electric motors: a 150 kW (201 hp) induction motor in the front, and a 210 kW (282 hp) permanent magnet motor in the rear of the car, which produce a combined output of 480 hp and 700 N⋅m.

The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is 4.0 seconds, the braking distance from 100 to 0 km/h is 33.9 m, and the drag coefficient is 0.24.

The ET5 is compatible with Nio's Power Swap Stations that allow to swap the battery in a few minutes and, as of 2023, are available in China, Norway, and Germany.
